What this is about
Cookies are small files stored on your device that help a website work and remember your choices. Some sites, this one included, use a related technology called local storage, which works the same way from your point of view: something small is kept in your browser between visits. Everything below covers both.
The rule we follow is the strict one: anything that is not necessary for the Site to work waits for your permission.
Strictly necessary — always on
These need no consent, because without them a choice you made would be forgotten and the Site could not do what you asked. None of them identifies you, none is read by anyone else, and none leaves your device.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cb_consent_v1 | Local storage | Remembers your answer to this banner so it is not shown on every page | ~6 months |
cb_layout_<collection> | Local storage | Remembers how you arranged the images on a collection page | Until you clear it |
Analytics — optional, and currently not active
The Site is built to support Google Analytics 4 for aggregate, IP-anonymised visit statistics. No analytics property is connected right now, so nothing in this table is actually set on your device today. It is listed so this page is already accurate on the day analytics are switched on — which will not happen silently: the banner will ask first, as it does now.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Distinguishes one visitor from another for aggregate statistics | Up to 2 years | |
_ga_<id> | Keeps session state for the analytics property | Up to 2 years |
Until you accept, Google Consent Mode holds analytics in a denied state and the analytics script is never fetched — so nothing is sent to Google, not even the fact that you were here.
Advertising and tracking — none
There are no advertising cookies, no marketing cookies, no social media pixels, no embedded trackers and no third-party fonts on this Site. Typefaces are served from our own domain precisely so your visit is not announced to anyone else. If this ever changes, it will be written here first and the banner will gain a category for it.
Your choices
On your first visit the banner offers three options of equal weight — no option is pre-selected, styled to be harder to find, or made to look like the wrong answer:
- Only necessary — nothing optional is set. Rejecting is exactly one click, like accepting.
- Customize — switch each optional category on or off yourself.
- Accept all — allows the optional categories listed above.
Change your mind whenever you like through cookie settings, in the footer of every page.
How long your answer lasts
About 6 months, after which the banner asks again — the interval EU guidance treats as reasonable. Clearing your browser data resets it immediately and completely.
Where you are
Visitors in the EU, EEA and UK are asked before anything optional is loaded, and nothing optional runs until they agree. The same banner and the same three options are shown everywhere else, so every visitor gets the same control regardless of what their local law requires.
Managing storage in your browser
Independently of this banner, every browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and local storage for a site — usually under Settings → Privacy, or by clicking the icon to the left of the address bar. Blocking everything will not break this Site; you will simply be asked about cookies again on each visit.
